Re: Ontario Line: Quality Transit AND Quality Communities

Dear Hon. Caroline Mulroney & Hon. Doug Ford,

I live in the South Riverdale/Leslieville/Riverside community.

I am asking you to make sure that the impacts on my community of the proposed Ontario Line section from Eastern to Gerrard are understood and addressed.

Both the Metrolinx Initial Business Case and the City's report repeatedly identify numerous challenges with the above-ground section of the line between Eastern and Gerrard.

With the planned addition of a fourth GO Track through the Regional Express Rail Expansion, our community will go from having three lines running through it, to six lines running with sometimes less than 45 seconds between trains.

Many of our homes are immediately adjacent to the rail corridor. Many of us use the many parks and Jimmie Simpson Community Centre on a daily basis.

The City Report identifies potential impacts on our homes, our local Community Centre, numerous local parks, additional noise and vibrationimpacts, and more.

This line will only be built once, so let's make sure we get it right.

Please help protect our community as we expand Transit in our city.

Please stand up for me and my neighbours
and help create an Ontario Line that works for everyone.

Sincerely,
